Netgear Engage - Offline simulator
Hi All,
I am undertaking the Netgear AV training. It is very heavily based around Engage which is good to know.
However it seems that Engage has no 'offline' simulator to allow people without access to any actual switches to really learn and understand this software.
Is there a method to run a virtual offline switch (or set of switches) and configure them to play with the profiles etc? If not it sort of makes the training somewhat redundant.
Cheers
Cal

No, there's no official offline simulator or full virtual switch emulator for Netgear Engage that allows you to configure profiles without physical switches. Engage is designed for real-world interaction with Netgear's M4250/M4300 series AV Line switches. While you can install the Engage software to explore its interface and export/import configuration files from a physical switch for later use, true hands-on learning requires actual hardware. This means the training's effectiveness is somewhat limited without access to Netgear AV switches.
