PTP clock settings on M4350-16V4C for Blackmagic 2110 devices

I can’t get my Blackmagic 2110 transcoders to work with the built in grandmaster clock on the M4350-16V4C switch. I think it might have something to do with the clock not running on layer 2, but when I try to enable layer 2 ptp with the 2110 preset in the IT UI it just gives an error with no explanation, I feel like something might need to be enabled first.
