AX6000 WiFi Orbi pro SXR80 cpnnecting 2 routers (one onstead of a satellite)
Hi! I have the SXR80 Orbi pro router. Kindly advise - can I connect it not to a satellite, but to another same router, so that they extend the range and work (two paired SXR80 routers) the same as a router & satellite will? In other words - can I pair two routers together instead of pairing router with a satellite?
Thanks!
Simple answer? No. you can't.
More complex, you can connect them together with the 2nd in AP mode but devices won't roam as easily/efficiently.
If you're truly wanting a mesh system, just use a router and the satellites.

Thanks a lot!
I asked about second router instead of a satellite because satellites are out of stock in my country, but routers are still available, and I already heave one.
May be there is a way to pair Netgear SXR router with another Netgear satellite - not SXK80? Or even not with Orby pro (AX6000), but to an absilutely different mesh satellite? May be even not from Netgear, but from another company? Or this is a bad idea, and buying second router will be better?
Kind regards!- schumakuGuru - Experienced UserSXS50 or SXS30 are compatible, at some lower performance of course.
