Disable bar LED on SXK30
Hi, Looked through the manual and advice for other Orbi / Orbi Pro on how to turn off the bar LED but cannot find it. How DO you disable the bar LED on an Orbi Pro SXK30? Thanks BSG

Yes, I know which LED lights are which and why and that they turn off.
Given where the satellites have to be mounted, the coverage can switch back and forth between blue and orange. We have no outages. We just don't need to to have the blue and orange LEDs keep showing.
The white switch on and purple when no Internet LEDs would be useful. The blue and orange once installed are not needed.
I'll raise it as a feature request.

If the LEDs are coming on then you may need to move them into closer range of the SXR. The system is designed so that the LEDS are fully OFF when satellites are placed well from the SXR and in normal operation. There would be nothing to add to the UI to disable or change this for users.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between SXR and SXS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. Depending on building materials, the SXS may need to be placed closer to the SXR.

The distance between the router and satellites is fine. That's not the issue. The issue as I've raised in a different topic is that due to the wireless backhaul being nobbled on the SXK sytems and not allowing the forcing of daisychaining, the furthest satellite is connecting directly to the router when there is a satellite half the distance between it.
This is why connection flips back and forth between good (blue) and fair (orange). Is forced daisychaining is put back into the firmware for the SXK series then the furthest satellite wouldn't need to flip and the LEDs that I'm trying not to keep turning on, wouldn't be an issue...

I've just had a nice conversation with Netgear Support...
Our Orbi Pro SXK layout.
Orbi Router -------- Orbi Satellite A --------- Orbi Satellite B
Satellite B insists on making a direct connection to the Orbi Router despite Satellite A being half the distance away giving a fair connection rather than what would be a good one.
On previous Orbi home and pro systems, you could force the satellite to daisychain but apparently because "it can do it better" in the SXK series, the option to force daisychain was removed.
This is madness.
We cannot install wired backhaul (nor should we have to) given the thickness of the walls here. We are forced to use a 2.4G connection because Satellite B refuses to talk to Satellite A.
It has been escalated up to Netgear Engineering.

Also how are you turning ON the SXS. I presume that once the 1st SXS is online at connected, that when you turn ON the 2nd SXS it should connect to the 1st SXS.
However again, we don't know the details.

Router ----- Sat A ---------- Sat B
11m (Blue) 10m (Blue / Orange)
Sat B is automatically reaching the Router over 21m / 69 feet.
Netgear Engineering has said that if Sat B can hear the router then it WILL take that path regardless if Sat A is louder.
I'm really impressed that given the distance AND through cumulatively 70" of 1860s church wall stone, Sat B is getting some blue.
For logistical reasons, we cannot move Sat B further from it's location so it can't hear the router.
Again, this wouldn't be an issue if they were Wifi 5 generation Orbi Pros as we'd have the option to force Sat B to daisychain through Sat A.
