Functional Wired but no Wireless satellite connection

My main router is functional for both wired and wireless connections. However, once I'm at the periphery (where the satellite is located),  I cannot connect wirelessly to my satellite.

However my wired connections through the satellite are completely functional.  In fact, my workaround is to physically attached another wireless router to get wireless connection peripherally.

On the attached device page all the connections are displayed, with all wireless devices connecting exclusively through the main router and none via the satellite. The satellite connection is also displayed, with "GOOD" link status

Any help/advice appreciated.

My set up is Orbi PRO Wifi 6 Mni SXS30 with the included 1 satellite.
updated to latest firmware V4.3.3.106  - It's interesting though that on the firmware update page Router status is "No new firmware version available" while satellite status is "Waiting for connection"?

  • Have you tried factory resetting the satellite and re-syncing it?

    I'd try that first

it sounds like the satellite isn't syncing with the router.

Are you able to log into it via its IP address? That should have status page you can check the connection back to the router

I tried putting the satellite IP address (192.168.1.2) to my browser but it asks for user/password, and rejects my own password or the original factory-set one. So I get a blank page.

Meanwhile, when connected to router's IP address,  attached device log indicates that the satellite is connected via Wifi with good status... just like with all other wireless device, all connection is thru the Orbi router rather than Satellite.
