Orbi pro sxr30 lost Connection in ap mode with pfSense router
Hi,
I have some trouble with the sxr30 configured in ap mode, after a couple of hours lost connection with the magenta light. Sometimes reset work sometimes no. I have a pfSense router (I'm new in pfSense). I have more two wired sxs30 in the net for the mesh. the strange thing is that I removed the sxr30 and put one sxs30 between the router and the net and it works with no trouble.
Why the sxr30 broke the connection? anyone have an idea?
thanks,
Lorenzo
Small update, I solved my issue with reading the following discussion: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-WIFI-6-AX-AND-Wi-Fi-6E-AXE/Why-does-blocking-ICMP-cause-constant-Orbi-reboots/m-p/2319088/highlight/true
Opnsense is blocking the ping by default, which makes the orbi system to reboot constantly.
Allowing the icmp on the firewall solved my problem. I guess it's the same for the pfsense firewalls.
Hope it helps

A bit more details on how this is ran would help.
It should go:
modem----pfsense router----SXR30 (ap mode)---->SatellitesThe satellites have to come after the sxr30 and be linked through its lan
And the pfsense router should connect to the sxr30's wan port.
so how is your actual setup wired and to what ports?

thanks in advice.
My current setup is: ont -> pfSense router -> orbi in ap
The pfSense router is needed because there is no way to setup the Italian Vodafone fiber with the orbi router.
I don't know why the orbi after some time go magenta. the orbi router is connected directly to the pfSense router. Now for make wifi working i put an old router and power off the orbi router. is strange that the wired satellite work in this situation.

I'd check the pfSense router. Possibly that router is blocking too much traffic or not getting something to the SXR or data is not flowing right from that router.
