SXR80 and SXS80 Firmware update question to 4.2.3.102
Hi! Loving the AX6000 system. The Insight app said the new firmware version was available. The Insight cloud website also said the new firmware version was available. When I hit the Update bu...

Yes! It appears that disabling the VLAN feature on Wireless Network 3 (unchecking the box and hitting Apply), waiting for the router to restart, then going back and re-enabling the VLAN feature on Wireless Network 3, fixes the connectivity issues associated with Wireless Network 3 internet connectivity issues mentioned in the firmware release notes.
All better now. Thanks yet again!

Hi Jerald!
That would be firmware version 4.2.2.130
It did update once to this 4.2.2.130 version after I first bought and set up the router/satellite pair. And there it's sat until I got an email from Insight notifying me of the new version.
I just checked again in the local web interface, and it says "No new firmware version available."

Thanks for the update!
And to confirm, the local web interface still says "no new firmware version available" even after restarting the router, right?

- seatekOct 18, 2022AspirantI had not tried restarting the router to check for firmware updates. However, after doing so, it somehow enabled the router to determine that a firmware update was available.
Very curious. I hope you guys open a bug for that one! Thank you so much for the suggestion.
I’ll now hit the Update All button like a wild madman. 🙂 - seatekOct 18, 2022Aspirant
OK! After rebooting, the device was able to see that firmware update existed, and the Update All button worked! Both the router and satellite are running at the new version.
However, devices attached to Wireless network 3 don't have internet access now. I think I remember reading something about that in the "known issues" of this firmware version. Hopefully there will be instructions on how that might be corrected.
Thanks again!

A fix for the Wireless Network 3 problem in the firmware release notes is to disable the VLAN feature, or to "reload the configuration", whatever that means.
I will try to disable the VLAN feature, and then re-enable it. Perhaps that will be "reloading the configuration" enough?
