SXR80 satellites both have lost connection, re-adding is not possible with strange behaviour
I have already created a ticket for this, but maybe someone on the forum can also advise. This is what I have sent to Netgear: Today out of the blue I had no internet anymore on many of my devic...

Thanks man for following this thread.
All seems to be stable again. Very strange.

So 2 days later, back to the same problem.
Can connect to netgear insights, can connect to iot 2.4 and 5 networks and both satellites back to magenta, just out of the blue, both at the same time.
This is getting really annoying.
Nothing seems to be wrong with internet connectivity.
Nothing seems to be wrong when connecting to iot 2.4 or 5.
Nothing seems to be wrong with cable connections.
Satellites and main network are just not synching/working.
EDIT: I changed the iot 2.4 and 5 to be on the default VLAN. Since then, no longer able to connect to the wifi.
Can it be a vlan config problem?
How can I do a full factory reset?
Tried a few times but still, wifi network name stays the same, so reset is not done I think.

Still don't know what modem/gateway the router is connected to

How are you performing the factory reset, Reset button in back pressed for 15 seconds then release on the RBS first then RBR last...or using the Erase button with in the SXRs web ui?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected. What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? - elbobbahNov 10, 2024Tutor
Factory reset was only done on the RBR by 15 second powered on, 15 powered off, 15 powered on. However, network name stayed the same, so guessing it didn't work ...
Size of the home is 3 stories with only 2 where wifi matters.
House is about 30 Sq Ft.The RBR and RBS have not moved since 1,5 years. distance between them is about 15 meter each (with walls and ceilings between).
This is a scan of the networks. Also not much change going on there.
JodelaWiFi is mine.Router is behind ISP router. The router keeps having internet when all others fail (all wired connections just keep working). Model is CV8560E, no idea of the brand.
A netgear ProSAFE JGS516PE is between RXR and other wired devices. For the moment again online for 2 days, but I need 24/7 uptime, so if it happens again without solution, will have to switch to something else I am afraid...

Strangely enough, that CV8560E is a ISP supplied modem/router combo device. Sadly, there isn't much info to be found on it other than users have issues trying to get into bridge, passthrough modem. Which puts you in a double nat.
You could try contacting your ISP to see what settings to change on it to make it a modem only device and disable its router side features. Or if there's a passthrough or DMZ setting on the CV8560E

15 second ON and OFF will probably not reset the system correctly. To properly reset the system you need to press the reset button in back of each SXS for 15 seconds, then release and when the back power LED turns GREEN, power them OFF. The press the reset button the SXR for 15 seconds then release. Wait for about 1 minute then you should see a new setup wizard in a web browser with one ethernet connected PC to the back of the SXR at 192.168.1.1 which I prefer. Or use the Insight mobile app to set up the system as a new system.
30Sq feet? I presume this maybe a typo? Maybe 3000 sq ft?
What mode is the ISP modem working in? If you have the SXS system online in router mode, you'll want to get the ISP modem in to bridge mode with the ISPs help or ask them to help you disable the wifi radios on the modem and help you configured the DMZ or IP-Passthru for the SXR.

Yes 30ft was an error 🙂
All set-up with ISP and pass through was done correctly.
Stable now for 4 days again ...Yesterday, internet went offline on all devices for 15 minutes. In the logs I saw at the time: DoS Attack: ACK Scan from source IP 46.137.29.23 on port 443. This is an amazon service. However, not related to the satellite problems as far as I know.Router and satellite firmware: V4.3.3.200.For the moment, no rout cause found, but system up and running. Hopefully won't have to return here.
In any case, thanks for helping and thinking along! - FURRYe38Nov 13, 2024Guru - Experienced User
When this happens does the front LED on the SXR turn PINK? If so, possible something on the ISP side that needs to be checked.
Might turn down the power on the SXR to 50% and see if this helps as well. For that size of home, really only need 1 SXS however turning down the power can help with having two SXS deployed. Might try 25% as well.
Good Luck.
