Armor Blocking Sites - How to Unblock?

NetGear Armor has blocked a wordpress site I manage for a non-profit org. I cannot find a way to unblock this site on the web page presented to me by Armor, or through the mobile app. I have had to turn off Armor as a result. Can you advise how to get the site off of the ban list, and/or how to reconfigure Armor to allow this site.

Thank you

Seriously? Umm, no. Turning offt and not recommending to anyone until this changes. That is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I've worked in tech for 30 years including helping clients with security and I'vd never seen anything like this.

Netgear Armor is falsely blocking my compay websites which I need immediate access to. It is terrible that you want us to submit the URL to get it unblock and wait days and days for them to review it. I understand we would be building their database for you, but I need to immediately access my own site. Neargear Armor on the bottom of the page says, "We suggest that you [Go back to safety]". Netgear needs to have a option to "Proceed to website." This way we can have immediate access to our websites rather than waiting days for them to review the links. Furthermore, you need to allow us to whitelist the sites immediately.  The only way I can visit my company websites is by disabling Armor, this pretty much makes Armor useless and my network vunerable to other types of attacks and popups while Armor is disabled.

If Netgear continue to block false postive websites and not give the ability to whitelist the IPs, they are loosing alot of customers. Personally, I will not renew the Armor subscription if this option is not immediately offered.

Netgear I totally support this statement. As an IT admin I need to work my site now, not when you decide to allow me to visit my site! I have disabled Armor and won't be subscribing. Placing a real firewall in between the net and my router that allows me to control the blocking.

Hi, we greatly appreciate your feedback regarding the feature and rest assured it is taken note of and has been forwarded to the appropriate team. In the meantime, submitting a request to Bitdefender and contacting them via their support channels on the link below may be the best course of action for a more immediate resolution.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I am an Average Joe, not an IT admin. I need to access a site for work that (surprise!) Netgear has blocked. There is no way to unblock it without downloading an app, for some asinine, hairball, contrived reason. This is such a dumb way to go about it. Hey morons, let me unblock a site from my computer! You nincompoops.

Also, it is incredibly rude of Netgear to have known about this for a year and done jacks#!t about it.

F*** Netgear, I am never getting another router from Netgear ever again because of their incompetence and failure to help out customers. The people at Netgear should find new jobs. They are not helpful.

  • I have disabled the Armor Bitdefender on my iphone app it is blocking my remote access, as soon as I disabled it my remote access is working again. The update included automatically installing the Bitdefender.

  • The fact that this issue has not been adequately addressed after 6 months of customer feedback does not make Netgear look very good. FIx this, now.

  • Considering this Armor software has not been fixed to whitelist sites, what is the preferred method for router security?

  • I'm also waiting for a whitelist feature. Sites are blocked immediately when reported, unblocking is not possible (even after several weeks). Please Netgear: give us a solution!

I am coming to the same solution.  I purcahsed two Netgear routers in the past year and both have not been good.  Netgear's response and support is also terrible.

Just saw this appear in the Android app today...looks like they are close to releasing Unblock/whitelisting functionality....Not seeing it in the Web just yet.

What exactly did you see?  Please clarify.  Thanks!

I see that they fixed it for a couple of months ago.

It was fixed but only within the Netgear app.  There is still no way to whitelist from within a browser.  That may be okay for those that frequently use their phones but it is extremely inconvenient when I always use my laptop for browsing - it makes no sense that I have to pull out my phone to whitelist a web site in a browser I already have open.

This is likely my last Netgear product.

  • I'm just here in February 2022 to say ... I wish I had read this beforehand. Trying to access a work profile to edit the page, and I can't because Netgear Armor flags the page with a provacy warning. Sigh ...

So... I selected the option to allow only https connections to my Orbi router admin page, and now Netgear Armor denies access to it due to an untrusted certificate.

The genius of Netgear is astounding. Add to this: there is no option to whitelist the URL offered in the app or on the armor website. So, I've canceled autorenew on Armor, and have disabled it halfway through the first year of my subscription. Apparently, Netgear has adopted a software model like Microsoft's, but on steroids: WE, the customer, are their beta team as with Microsoft; however, Microsoft programmers have at least some talent. Netgear? Nope. Frankly, I'm tired of their updates bricking the unit. Tired of doing factory resets and reconfiguring my network to work around their latest update FLICK up. Tired of wrestling with Netgear Armor to access the sites I've used for decades. (On top of this, I now have a very negative view of Bitdefender. Way to go, Netgear! Way to go...) I should have learned my lesson with the Nighthawk modem and extender that preceded this... Netgear has received all of the money they'll ever receive from me. I'm now searching for another mesh solution for my home so I can relegate this crap to the trash heap where it belongs.

Having the same issue as described here in this thread with Orbi 750 product.  It is difficult to understand why this feature is missing.  Turning all protection off, to allow a known good site to work, is extreme to say the least.  Please do something to correct this issue.

        Thanks
