Is Netgear Armor compatible with Norton 360
I have Norton 360 installed on all my devices (fixec and mobile). Artmor trial with new Orbi set available. My read is Armor will provide periphery (router) level protection. Like the idea protection for Internet of Things devices which we also have. Will Armor coexist politely with Norton 360?

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Armor product. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Armor and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Good Luck.

I agree with FURRYe38 that posting in the Armor forum may cause someone to comment who has already tried this and (maybe) found out good (or bad) things.
When I saw "free trial" (which means "pay to keep it") I declined Armor. From what I can see, there are two parts of the package:
- Something that does external scans on devices in the local LAN, and
- A version of Bitdefender that can be loaded on individual devices.
A general practice for years and years has been not to mix Anti-virus packages. For example, this article:

If you decide to "take the plunge", it would be fascinating to hear what happens.

Did you take the plunge and opt to have the Armor alongside Norton 360. I've used Norton for many years with no problems. I (think) I like the idea of having Armor at the router level to check IoT devices, but I don't plan to install Bit Defender on my laptops since I already have Norton. Honestly, I don't know how much extra protection I get with the additional router security. All passwords are over 20 characters and extremely complex. IoT firmware seems to be a common entry point for hackers and Armor claims to be able to identify help block hacking attempts into IoT devices (which sounds good). I wish they would split it up and offer Armor for just the router at a cheaper price. I don't need Bit Defender on my computers, so it feels like I'm wasting money. I did check the armor forums, but didn't find what I was looking for. I did some online research and found everything from "yes, Armor is great" to "Armor is blocking everything and I hate it". So, the more research I do, the muddier the water gets. Maybe in the future I switch to Bit Defender. Reviews between Norton and Bit Defender are very close. Time will tell. Thanks for any info/learning you care to share.

I just renewed Armor for its 2nd year on my original Orbi system and it has been active in addition to Norton 360 on my Dell XPS desktop (Windows 10) for all but the first 6 weeks of that time (I was waiting for a better annual renewal price offer from Norton, finally received an adequate discount about a month after it expired and “renewed” soon thereafter!) There have been no conflicts that I am aware of, but since all my portable devices are Apple, I have not installed Bifdender on any of them. My understanding is that iOS devices don’t need antivirus protection because the operating system is already well protected against such intrusions. This may be old information, but I haven’t heard anything that sounds like that situation has changed significantly. If this has changed, I do have both Norton and Bitdefender options available to install on these devices at no cost.

Agreed- I have Norton 360 on all devices and with my password complexity and frequent changes, plus strong, strong security tools already onboard my ISP's router, I don't have a need to subscribe to Armor or Bitdefender but can definitely see users in higher risk situations or those with weak security practices might want to do at least Armor. I cannot see any real conflicts outside those that might arise during installation of one or the other (i.e. needing to disable one while the newer product is installed or one product has a pop-up noting a DLL or key or boot conflict). Most major security apps do have varying degrees of guidance and pop-ups guiding users what to do if it detects a conflict. But again, I will just run Norton on all my devices and keep up with my base ISP router security.
