My Website Is Being Blocked by Netgear Router Security
Hi everyone, I run a small website and recently discovered that several visitors using Netgear routers can’t access it. When they try, they get a warning that the site is “blocked” or “unsafe.” Some ...

Thanks for the quick reply! The main router that one of my visitors reported the issue on is the Netgear RAX45 Nighthawk AX6, and another user mentioned it happening with a different model as well (unfortunately I don’t have that exact one yet). I’m wondering if this might be a model-specific issue or something broader across routers running Netgear Armor/Parental Controls. Do you think sharing the exact firmware version would also help narrow it down? Should I share the site URL with you so that you can check and confirm if it's happening on your end?

So this site is not accessible by any devices connected to these routers if Armor is enabled?
- emily423Sep 11, 2025Aspirant
Yes, that seems to be the case . when Netgear Armor is enabled on these routers, my site either gets blocked completely or shows a warning that it’s unsafe. The strange part is that the issue doesn’t happen on all pages; for example, the homepage may load, but some menu or coupon pages are flagged and blocked. When Armor is disabled, the site works fine across all devices, so it really looks like a misclassification by the security system. I think it is happening on my side only. Do you think providing the exact firmware version and router logs from affected users would help in narrowing this down?

I have armor on my router and I can access your website with no issues.
