All Netgear apps say C7000v2 supported even though Nighthawk should
I moved and took my C7000v2 modem router with me. I set up using the Nighthawk app. I recently had to factory reset (for Xfinity) and the Nighthawk app says product not supported. The Genie app says I have to use The Nighthawk app. Netgear website says to use Nighthawk. I’ve tried everything multiple times. Deleted apps and reinstalled. Forgot network and reinstalled. Factory reset multiple times (Xfinity is frustrated with me and believes it’s a Netgear issue). They confirmed I’m on latest firmware. Toggled LAN on and off and then on again. Turned on / off phone (updated to latest software) and modem waiting minutes before turning them back on. I’m not asking Netgear to support me, just give me the tools so I can support myself. Without access to app, I can’t change Network name and password. I’ve lost hours. I will have to go through all my home devices and reset them up.

It wipes out all your previous settings.
The problem is that when you move from one place to another, you can end up with completely different ISP settings. And the Nighthawk app is too dumb to manage that.
Getting into the C7000v2 with a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI) gives you more control.
How do I log in to my NETGEAR wireless router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
If you can get that far you can then put the modem/router through its internet setup wizard. If all goes well, the other local settings should stick.
They confirmed I’m on latest firmware.Firmware is a red herring for cable modem/routers. You can't do anything about out. That is down to the ISP.
