How do I find the public IP address for my router? The IP in the Nighthawk app for External IP Address is a private IP and not a public IP.
Either you are double-routing (connecting your WAN port to a gateway, and not a modem), or your internet service provider is using Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT) or equivalent.
- Can you provide the manufacturer/model of the device your router's WAN port is connected to?
- Who is your ISP?
