GenieGO out of home access using WNR1000

I am trying to set up our GenieGO out of home access from DirecTV but it is not setting it up. Ive followed all the directions from DirecTV. We have Comcast and they say its not their issue. We have an Arris SURFboard SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and they say it acts as a bridge and no ports are closed. Ive set up the ports 8082 & 8083 on the netgear N150 Wireless Router WNR1000 (at least according to the directions from DirecTV I did everything correctly). Out of home access still does not work. I am using a MAC laptop computer running Yosemite.

Any help?

    Hello mecyfox

Did you make sure that when you port forward that the 2 ports you opened are both TCP and UDP?

We did all that, but we decided to do something else & skipped this router and set it up with another router and that worked.
