How do I change to 802.11g from 802.11n, i have a device requiring the 802.11g

  • What is model of your router?

With modern routers, you should not need to change anything.  Routers should, by default, be backwards compatible with 802.11g.  Older routers may have a N-only Wi-Fi setting that you would need to change.

Genie is not the model number.  It's the name of the desktop management program as well as the web portal to log into the router.  Try connecting your 802.11g.  It will probably work without any changes.
