AFAIK you can't - why ever, they don't use the device name as configured on the router, instead they ue a hard-coded product designation.

Well, even on the local connection, the device name as configured isn't used in the Nighthawk nor the Genie App - while it is used (finally, anfter a lot of pressure - for a long time it always showed R9000 hard coded here!) for the UPnP SSDP announcement, optionally for the ReadyShare (there is a prompt while renaimg to make it the same), ...
