Is lan bridge mode on D1500 possible?

Question

I've always used cheap modem/router as bridged modem connected to a better router, but I noticed that in Netgear D1500 is not possible to do so. I'm not interested in wifi bridge, just using it like a simple cabled modem. Is that possible with some specific firmware? (I'd like to solve this also because my main modem/router doesn't reach the same speed, this is the best modem I've tried on my line, what chip does it use? thanks)

You can disable DHCP so wouldn't that work for you? As for what chip it uses I have no idea.

Disabling DCHP doesn't seem to work. Even with it switched off, the router still assigns IP adresses.
