Netgear Genie says my phone has a different MAC address!
I have a Netgear AC1750. I have noticed that routerlogin.net and my Android phone say my Nexus 6P phone has one MAC address starting in AC
However, when I use the Genie app, the network monitor says my phone has a MAC address starting in AA.
What is going on here? I have MAC filtering, so only the MAC addresses that I have allowed can connect.

Also, when I run the Netgear Genie app on my tablet (Nexus 7 2012), it detects my cellphones correct MAC address. Interestingly, my tablet's MAC address appears correctly on Genie on both my tablet and my phone.
Why is my Nexus 6P's MAC address appearing incorrect when I run Genie on it?

Hi leftisthominid,
Does the Access Control feature work fine? It might just be a bug on the Genie Android app.

I block all unknown MAC addresses with access control. My Nexus 6P's correct MAC is included as allowed within access control. My Nexus 6P has no problem connecting to my router. The router itself reports the correct MAC address when I go to routerlogin.net
What is weird is that while Genie reports an incorrect N6P MAC address to my N6P and correct MAC addresses for everything else, when I use Genie on my Nexus 7 (2012), it reports the correct N6P MAC address and the correct N7 MAC address and correct MAC addresses for everything else.
My Nexus 6P runs Nougat 7.0 and my Nexus 7 runs Lollipop 5.1

I too am experiencing Netgear Genie showing different MAC addresses for my Samsung Galaxy S7 other than my actual MAC address, every time I reboot or restart my phone. My Netgear router shows my correct MAC address to my Samsung phone in the routing tables but the Genie app on my phone keeps showing different ones and none match what is my actual MAC address to my Samsung phone.
Is your phone running Lollipop (5.0 or 5.1), Marshmallow (6.0) or Nougat (7.0 or 7.1)? My phone has had this issue on both version of Nougat (7.0 and 7.1). I never used the Genie app when I was on Marshmallow.
My tablet running Lollipop (5.1) does not exhibit this problem and my dad's iPhone did not exhibit this problem either. I am thinking this has something to do with how the app deals with Marshmallow and Nougat.

My S7 is running 6.0.1 Marshmellow. This seems to have been something just starting within the past month or so for me at least. Before it was reporting MAC correctly in Genie.
