Nighthawk App Access Control Not Working (App Version 2.11.0.11)
It seems there may be an issue with the latest release of the Netgear Nighthawk App for iOS or maybe the netgear APIs. Along with getting a Device Offline - CDIL-API-FAIL after rebooting, I am noticing that the when disabling access to a wifi attached device the router is not getting the command even though the app shows its disabled. The app version is 2.11.0.11.

We have a bug capture built into the nighthawk app. What you need to do is replicate the issue you are having and when you see the error message in the app shake your phone side to side this should pop up a tool to allow you to report the issue and it will capture what is happening.

I did that twice over the weekend so hopefully that will help speed up the fix for this
