Nighthawk App (Android) timeout

Just to follow-up/close this issue, I went and bought a competitors router. Plugged it in, launched the app, found the router right away. The app and all it's features seem to work as explained on the box.
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 FE connected to my R7000 and NH app:
