I have a R7000 router and the phone that I used to setup the router with no longer works. I have a new phone am I wondering can I install the app again on new phone and would it just automatically auto detect the existence of network? Would it make me setup network again? I have forgotten the password on the connection and I always used the app to look it up. I don't want to disrupt what is already setup.26Views0likes6CommentsWrong network password
I was trying to reconnect via wifi to my HP printer. It asked me for the network password. I typed it in and it said it was the wrong password, but it wasn't. I tried to connect to another printer that is a Canon, same thing happened. I then tried to login to my Nighthawk router C7000v2, and again it says my password is wrong. So I tried to connect to a tablet that I have and clicked the forget button so I would have to reenter the password to connect to the router. It asked for the password and it worked. Why can't I connect to the router on some devices but, not others including my app for Nighthawk?118Views0likes20CommentsRS200 Nighthawk App Device List
(09/18/25) I have the Nighthawk app v2.47.0.4909 on my android and the most current firmware (v1.0.5.12) installed on my RS200. If I log in to the web access for the router, all the attached devices are listed and listed properly. However, in the app, that is not the case. Devices that are attached are not listed, devices are listed incorrectly, and others are not showing up at all. EG: my laptop is connected via 5G Wi-Fi but is only listed in the app as a wired device that is not connected, also, new devices (like the new tablet we got our daughter) is not listed at all. Router has been rebooted and power cycled, app had the cache and memory cleared and reinstalled, all has had no effect on devices listed in the app.63Views0likes4CommentsAlternative to the Nighthawk App?
Is there one? Can I connect my laptop to the Ethernet port and use an HTTP or SSH or something connection to setup my AX1600? I have spent hours trying to get the Android app to do it and, from looking at the other messages on this site, the App is broken. If I can't get it working in the next few days the AX1600 is going back to the store tagged "defective".76Views0likes3CommentsForced to use Nighthawk app to set up new hardware and it sucks out loud
I tried to set up the modem/router manually, following the printed instructions to the letter. No good. Had to download the app, which I wanted to avoid for precisely the experience I had. Who wrote this app? Did ANYONE test it? Maddening. Wanders in circles. I finally called the support number, waited on hold, someone with an accent that suggested they were Not From Around Here answer and my call was immediately cut off. I am livid.108Views1like3CommentsUnable to connect to router remotely
RAX30 — Nighthawk AX5 5-Stream AX2400 WiFi 6 Router I have tried numerous time to connect to the router remotely and it's been unsuccessful. When I say 'remotely' I mean trying to connect to the router with the app when I'm not home, using the same network as the router. I've tried with the app and with a browser as well. According to everything I've read, enabling the 'Anywhere Access' on the app is all that's needed. Yes, 'Anywhere Access' is enabled on the app. Yes, the router has been updated to the latest firmware (v1.0.14.108). I'm using Spectrum home internet.87Views0likes3CommentsParental controls for individual devices only works on IOS
Parental controls are working when set as a default policy and I am able to change the policies to recieve different results. I would like to set my default policy as restrictive and manage specific devices for less restrictive policies. I can seem to be able to control IOS devices specifically. I cannot control Windows 10 or Android devices. It doesn't matter if they are configured for DHCP or static addresses. I have tried from multiple devices and have had no luck. It seems like both Windows 10 and later versions of Andriod will not accept policy based filtering. Is this a known bug or is there a KB article on how to fix this? I also cannot log into my openDNS account from the netgear genie app through parental controls but it works fine on IOS and PC. I have tried resetting the router, disabling parental controls, access control, etc., etc.. Any help is much appreciated. -Chris4.3KViews0likes4Comments
