Recently we returned from a trip, now our ORBI satellite seems to be an issue, the connected camera goes out (off line) although when we sync the unit all comes back as it should. Netgear representative indicated that with no issue lights the unit is working perfect. Anyone experiencing the same issue. Second issue (seems this ORBI has issues that are adding age. We have one system in NJ the other in DE, now the ORBI system is asking for an Admin password, none of the logged (recorded) passwords work, any suggestions that don't require a reset. Hi everyone, I’ve been noticing something strange with my home WiFi setup. Whenever only 1–2 devices are connected, everything works perfectly fine. But as soon as more devices join (like phones, laptop, and smart TV), the internet speed drops a lot. For example, in my house, when my brothers and sister all start using their devices at the same time, streaming or browsing becomes very slow. I’m not sure if this is due to bandwidth limits, router settings, or something else. Has anyone experienced something similar? I went to my Android phone to check Armor for my network (which I had recently renewed). It looked OK. I then looked at the Orbi app on my phone and it said “no internet connection”. I did a speed test from my phone and did very well (356 Mbps down and 34.8 up). I came to my PC and logged into ORBI and everything looked fine. Rebooted the router. Still could not get the ORBI app to work on my phone. Uninstalled it. Reinstalled it. Still does not work, saying no internet. What do I do now? For some reason my login password is not working so I have tried to change it using my serial number but the answers to my security questions are not recognized either. I already have a RBK50 system with 5 satellites. It's working properly. But I changed my mobile phone and I lost the system on the APP of my new S25 ULTRA. I have tried to add it but 3 of 5 satellites are considered as not connected on the Network Mapping section. But if I go on the orbilogin.net all 5 satellites are well connected ... Nighthawk app and Home Assistant app with Netgear integration don't read the full list of connected devices even though the 192.168.1.1 router admin portal shows the full list of connected devices. I have two phones that do not show up on the list in either app, but do show up on the list in the router admin portal. The only workaround is to reboot the RS500 router which properly syncs the full list of connected devices across apps but within 1-2 weeks the list becomes desynchronized again. This causes my home automation to fail as it relies on my phones being discovered on the WiFi network for presence detection when I am home and connected to the router. My router firmware version is v1.0.5.22. Since both home assistant and nighthawk apps are failing to read the full device list at the same time, I believe this is a router firmware issue or REST API cloud/server endpoint issue (ARP cache issue?). Home assistant uses the Netgear API via Python on a raspberry pi server connected directly via Ethernet to the router, I'd assume the nighthawk app uses a similar mechanism to retrieve the connected device list. Just got this thing. Installed the app and it just does not work. It either just sits at a page showing No Internet Connection with option to try again, or sometimes it gets past that after hitting the try again a million times, to a login page. But that login button is completely dead. Nothing happens. What is going on? Seeing these same issues in the Android reviews of the app as well.394Views0likes1Comment
