I have the Orbi 770 and Netgear Armor Android app (OS 16). I recently checked my security status and it shoud my subscription was deactivated (it expires in 5/26. I could not activate it and the only option shown was to purchase a new subscription. In Android, I was able to clear the data and sing in again on the Orbi app. Now it allowed me to use Netgear Armor.11Views0likes3CommentsPlaylist not changing
I just purchased an MC315 and loaded my first playlist successfully. I've created a couple of other playlists manually and by linking an album. Then I change the playlist/album. The app says the new one is playing, but the MC315 is still showing the one that I initially loaded.10Views0likes1CommentDevices List
The other day I opened the Orbi app and opened the device list and the display was a bit different, it had devices listed by band (2.4hz, 5hz, 6hz) and I think it also had a toggle for each device (to turn off/on?) Since then, the display is back to the "generic" list of devices. Not sure how I got the other display, can't find a setting for it, but would like to have it back.Solved50Views0likes5CommentsStuck in a dilemma in regards to Nighthawk configuration and management
After almost five decades of working in the comp tech industry I developed an eye condition limiting my ability to utilize technology. In particular, mobile tech. Besiides the fact that I have worked for far too long in tech to trust any mobile device. (Yes, I ran cfw on all my phones that could support it) And just in case you are concerned that my device was the limiting factor, I attempted it on 5 different devices with 3 different OS's not including my wife's cell which is stock Samsung and still couldn't found the app unusable. So, mobile apps are out as they are illegible. Great, I attempted the alternative methods via web config and management on the PC. Yet there is a problem there as well. To get my PC screen semi-usable with my eye limitations it makes quite a few website features difficult if not impossible to use. (IE: on the http://www.netgear.com website, without fiddling around with the display settings, I can't see half the links at the top. "NETGEAR", Search, Account and cart don't exist unless I happen to float over them. Didn't even know they were there until I accidentally hovered over one of them and I saw it highlight.) Going to attempt to attach a screen shot so you can see an example of what I put up with just trying to do some basic things on a comnputer. This makes the web admin difficult to use as there are quite few options that the toggle or check box doesn't show or doesn't indicate when it has been activated even when it does show or links that I don't even know if they might exist. Now that we have taken a basic look at my issue with continued use of technology (it's almost masochistic that I keep trying to use tech at this point)(I get a headache within an hour of two of trying to force myself to read a computer screen. Genie, although not as streamlined at this point and currenlty discontinued, was at least usable and I would have probably continued to use if I didn't have to upgrade to Windows 11 (FU MS for not supporting slighter older procs even on a system that fully supported tpm 2.0), and also didn't have to upgrade my wi-fi router as my previous one EOS'd earlier this month. So, main points: Can't use Mobile App. Web Admin slightly more usable but limited for monitoring as I would have to log in routinely as opposed to having an app on my pc to monitor and config The app that was usable is dicontinued. I didn't see anything for any form of third party standardized management such as SNMPv3 while going through the web admin. (did I miss it?) Base overall query: Any chance there is an updated "Genie" in the works? Is there any other alternatives I should attempt to look at? Barring a positive workable answer to the two previous questions, I will have to hunt for an alternative solution and circular file my most recent netgear purchase and discontinue my relationship with the company. Thanks for your time, consideration and overall patience, -G P.S. if you look at the attached image, you shoudl see what I am referring to in regards to apparent missing links such as search, account and cart.42Views0likes1CommentPhone app
I have a R7000 router and the phone that I used to setup the router with no longer works. I have a new phone am I wondering can I install the app again on new phone and would it just automatically auto detect the existence of network? Would it make me setup network again? I have forgotten the password on the connection and I always used the app to look it up. I don't want to disrupt what is already setup.54Views0likes6CommentsWrong network password
I was trying to reconnect via wifi to my HP printer. It asked me for the network password. I typed it in and it said it was the wrong password, but it wasn't. I tried to connect to another printer that is a Canon, same thing happened. I then tried to login to my Nighthawk router C7000v2, and again it says my password is wrong. So I tried to connect to a tablet that I have and clicked the forget button so I would have to reenter the password to connect to the router. It asked for the password and it worked. Why can't I connect to the router on some devices but, not others including my app for Nighthawk?140Views0likes20CommentsRS200 Nighthawk App Device List
(09/18/25) I have the Nighthawk app v2.47.0.4909 on my android and the most current firmware (v1.0.5.12) installed on my RS200. If I log in to the web access for the router, all the attached devices are listed and listed properly. However, in the app, that is not the case. Devices that are attached are not listed, devices are listed incorrectly, and others are not showing up at all. EG: my laptop is connected via 5G Wi-Fi but is only listed in the app as a wired device that is not connected, also, new devices (like the new tablet we got our daughter) is not listed at all. Router has been rebooted and power cycled, app had the cache and memory cleared and reinstalled, all has had no effect on devices listed in the app.74Views0likes4CommentsCan't Log In From App
Seems like after a recent firmware update, I can no longer log into the router from the Orbi app. It asks for the login credentions of which I use admin and the same password I use on my laptop, but I get the message "Your router is unreachable. Please check that your router is on. If this issue persists, try rebooting your device." I have rebooted the router several times. I've cleared cache and data on the app. I've deleted and reinstalled the app. I can use a web brower on my phone (Samsung S21, Android 15) and get logged in. I've even changed the router password but still no luck. Any ideas?117Views1like12Comments
