Nighthawk app can’t find router though internet is working
So The nighthawk app cannot find my router. I did a power cycle and it still cannot find it. the light on the modem and router are fine and the internet is working but the app can’t connect to the router. I’d like to update the app firmware but the nighthawk app won’t let me do anything without a connection. The model I have is mr60.

Be sure that local network is enabled for the NH app:

yes the local network is enabled for the nighthawk app. The article you provided is for orbi app.- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User

You still having problems?
Have you tried a new setup and walk thru it?
Might try a factory reset and setup from scratch on the router and see if the NH app can connect soon as the factory reset completes.
