Nighthawk app not work

I bought the Nighthawk mesh wifi6 system , AX1800 MK62.

I did everything it says to do. I can see MR60 on my wifi network.

But the Nighthawk app isn't working, I get all the way to the end. It says to join netgear in wifi settings there is no netgear showing. I tried adding netgear network nothing is working it will not connect.

I have a Samsung phone deleted the app and started over, reset the router..

Please help??

  • Does it show up through the browser connection?

    What firmware is on it?

What modem/gateway is the router connected to?

Are you able to join the wifi network prior to opening the nighthawk app?

Does it show up through the browser connection?  No

What firmware is on it?  Not sure it is a MR60

What modem/gateway is the router connected to? It is connected to my Tmobile wifi modem

Are you able to join the wifi network prior to opening the nighthawk app?  It just tells me issues connecting with Tmobile go to settings- wifi and join your Routers wifi network

There is no NETGEAR network at all.

I do thank you for you time and help..

If you're connecting it to your tmobile gateway (a model number helps) most of them have their own integrated router and it causes a double nat.

A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
        1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions. Not sure if tmobiles gateway supports this.
        2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
        3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.
