Parental controls disable using Genie

I have Genie on my desktop and after setting up the parental controls, I find the "Disable parental controls" button is active and not password protected so anybody with access to the Genie can disable the controls.  This button is above the bypass account login.  Am I missing something?

thanks

You have to be kidding. That advice is akin to saying "pitch the computer" for an app/router that is used by smartphones, tablets, etc. Who was the genius that designed the Genie and still hasn't come up with a fix for password unprotected access to the parental controls function?

  • Wow! I have finally found someone who has seen the same nonsensical feature of the Genie app. All other functions require logging into the router. Somehow, the parental controls feature does not. Go figure.

  • My son told me about the bypass, lol.  I'll have to uninstall it and find another tool.

  • I thought I was missing something too. Please, please fix this. It is truly unusable or pointless when anyone can click on the desktop icon and simply click on the "Disable Live Parent Controls" button and turn them off. All it has to have is password activation and it's fixed. Can we do this quickly and update it?
