Parental controls for individual devices
I can't get parental controls to work on individual devices using the map. If I use the Netgear genie on my PC to change the system-wide filtering to high, blocking works. But if I set it system-wi...

I need to clarify and correct... I can block all sites if I go to "dashboard.opendns.com" and set blocking there. But can not do it using the genie or at a device level.

Hi @TitoNYC,
1. What is the model number and firmware version of your router?
2.What version of NETGEAR Genie do you have installed?
3. Have you tried configuring the per device filtering level on another device (another computer, smartphone, tablet)?

Thanks Dexter for the quick reply.
1. Nighthawk R6700, Firmware Version V1.0.0.24_10.0.18
2. Netgear Genie version 2.4.20
3. Yes, I've tried setting the desktop where Genie is installed and multiple ios devices in more strict settings.
Dexter, maybe I've done something wrong in mixing the settings for Live Parental Controls, Netgear parental controls and OpenDNS? I've been trying to get this work for a while and have tried to follow instructions in any article I can find to see if I can get it to work!
Maybe this is why I can block sites network-wide from dashboard.opendns.com but not from netgear.opendns.com?
Thanks for your help.

Hi @TitoNYC,
It is possible that your existing OpenDNS account settings are conflicting with the LPC settings. LPC should be managed through the NETGEAR Genie app/program or through https://netgear.opendns.com/sign_in.php.
