Problem changing email address for account

Hi

 

When I try to change mail email address I get an error message saying "This email already exists". When I try to use the "forgot password" link on the address I want to change to I get an mail with a verification code, but when trying to change the password I get the error message "Resource validation error".

 

Please help! :) Thanks!

  • Now I managed to log in to the account with the email address I want to change to and closed that account.

     

    I still get the error message "This email already exists". Does it take some time from the account is closed until it is possible to use that email address on another account?

      There are various "accounts" associated with Netgear. First there is this place, then there is MyNetgear and also things like DDNS and NoIP for remote access and management.

       

      I'd start by explaining what you want to do, what you are doing and where it goes wrong.

       

      You could also tell people what dev ice you are trying to work with.

        Thank you for answering!

        I use Brave 1.2.43 on macOS 10.15.3 (19D76).

        Here is what is do:

        1. Sign iin in the upper right corner on https://www.netgear.com/
        2. Select "Manage Profile" from the "account menu" in the upper right corner
        3. Select "Login settings"
        4. Select "Change Email"
        5. I type in the new email address I want to change to and my password. 

        Then I get the error message "This email already exists".
