R8000P Operating System is Mikrotik

I recently wanted to install a new printer on my network but when I went to the 192.168.1.1 address it showed that the operating system was RouterOS v6.44.6.  I tried most of my passwords but none of them allow me to get it.  First when did this change to Mikrotik and second why.  Also why did Netgear Genie drop off the face of the earth.  It worked for non-technical folks like me to manage my system.  Any help would be appreciated.  If this Mikrotik system is the router operating system then how do I reset it to install a new password?  Hopefully without loosing all my other configuration.
