unable to connect to router, Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Smart Wifi Router

I got this router as a gift a bit more than a year ago, now I tried to set it up, using netgear nighthawk app, but when it tried to connect to wifi, I kept getting "Unable to connect ..."

There are 4-5 led lid up, only 60GHZ is lid, but 2.4GHz and 5GHz leds are not lid up at all.

Firmware has been updated to version V1.0.5.28 already.

Any help would be very much appreciate.

  • what modem/gateway is it connected to? 

    did the wifi on/off button get hit? push and hold it for 2 seconds. 

    Is it just the app thats not working? does anything work if connected to it?

      It's connected to Netgear N450 WiFi Cable Modem Router.

      I tried to hold the wifi button for at least 5 secs, and saw only 60GHz led off and on.

      Also tried reset it, but with no luck.

        Is it just the app thats not working? does anything work if connected to it?

        Have you logged into it to see if ssid broadcast was disabled?

        When you factory reset, did you push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds? 

        Did it work prior? You put it was a gift/given toyou, maybe there was a reason?
