Upload issue
Hello, for the past few days I haven't been able to upload any photos—neither via the app nor the browser. I can't even re-upload photos that are already there. I created a new account, but I...
Any attempt to upload a standard JPG fails with "Upload Error". Existing items and playlists still load, and sending existing playlists to the canvas works, so the problem is specifically the upload endpoint.
Evidence from the browser console (my.meural.netgear.com, 10 September 2026, ~16:50 IST):
POST https://api.meural.com/v1/items net::ERR_FAILED 500 (Internal Server Error)
Access to fetch at 'https://api.meural.com/v1/items' from origin 'https://my.meural.netgear.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.
The CORS message is a side effect of the 500 – the error response isn't carrying the CORS headers – so the underlying issue is that the /v1/items endpoint is failing server-side before the file is processed.
What I've already ruled out:
- Tried multiple JPG files, including ones that uploaded successfully in the past
- Tried from a different browser and from the iOS app
- Account has available storage
- Canvas is online and responsive to all other commands
This matches a number of reports in the NETGEAR Community Meural forum since June 2026, so it appears to be a service-side outage rather than an account or device issue.
There seems to be no support at all for this problem.
