After power outage, MR60 Satellites don't connect & 2 phantom wifi networks BRCMAP0 and 1 show up
Having a super weird issue after power outage.
Satellites will not connect to base no matter how many times they're re-sync'd, unplugged, replugged.
So, i factory resetted everthing. Now there are two open/unsecured phantom wifi networks showing as available in my networks list (BRCMAP0 and BRCMAP1) *and* my previous wifi networks.
The BRCM ones, however, do not show up anywhere in my nighthawk admin panel, nor does the newly named wifi network or guest network name show up in my list of wifi networks. I renamed both in the router to avoid any confusion.
HOWEVER, if i unplug the nighthawk, the BRCMs and the old network names disappear from my network list, so they're obviously connected somewhere, somehow. ...
Also, neither satellite will wirelessly connect. i've reset, re-sync'd, unplugged multiple times in multiple order, and it always goes back to amber. I've also backhauled the password. ... BUT, to add to the weirdness, if i connect one of the base stations via ethernet to the base, devices that used the satellites to connect to our network all of a sudden come online.
if i check the device list, the satellite shows as a device but not part of the network map, and i cannot find a way to configure it.
I've attached a pict of my network list showing the weird networks. Note that the second arrow saying "doesn't exist anywhere anymore" is pointing to "The Gingerbread Haus" and not the BrcmAP networks. Those are nowhere to be found ...
HELP?
candy.
So you factory rest the MR and MS, and while one MS is power unplugged and you try to setup the MR first and completly get it set up. Then power ON 1 MS, use the MRs web page to sync the MS, the MS fails to sync at all while you have the MS near or in same room as the MR?
You might try re-loading FW on the MS using this process:
What you need to do is factory reset the MS. Wire connect a PC to the 1st satellite📡. Already have the most current FW version files downloaded on to this PC.
Wire connect 1 PC to the back of the MS. Factory reset the MS, wait about 5 minutes. The PC will get a IP address from the satellite📡. The MS will be 192.168.1.250. Use this IP address in a web browser to log in to the satellites web page. Log in as admin and password. Use the satellites 📡 web page FW update feature to select the FW update file that was unpacked from the .zip file. Then factory reset and then re-sync the MS 📡 to the MR

Hello! Sorry, couldn't get back to this until today. This helped, thanks. Had some trouble getting the second one to pair up, but it finally did.
thanks!

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
