Automated Scheduling reboot of MR80

I have an MR80 router that had 2 MS80 satellites, one died and I got a replacement , the system seems to lose internet connectivity on the wifi side (ethernet is consistent. but I need to reboot the whole system occasionally. I would like to schedule a weekly reboot but there isn't an option in the software that I can find. Does anyone have a way to automate reboot.

A script or other means. Someone suggested putting a timer on the router to power cycle it, would this accomplish the same thing?

Yes one could use a timer.

However this would be avoid the real issue. Why is the wifi failing? Can you give more details about this?

MK systems should not need any power cyclilng or reboots to fix something, if it's needed, then there is a problem that needs to be vetted.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

    How many MS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between MR 📡 and MS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Does this happen with the MS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

  • It seems occasionally (I haven't noticed a specific time or time frame. The main Wi-Fi  connected devices (like TV, Streaming boxes etc.) lose connection. I'll check the satellites and they show an amber light. I reboot the MR-80 and upon restart they connect and the devices are reconnected automatically.

currently have 34 devices connected to wi-fi, internet speed tests at 956 Mbps up and down. Firmware on router and satellites are current, just checked again this morning after reboot and system reconnected.  I do have devices connected by Ethernet and these are not affected when the issue appears.
