Devices not connecting to closest Satellite (Nighthawk Wifi 6 Mesh) resulting in Bad Connectivity
This is in regards to the Nighthawk Wifi 6 Mesh Router.
I've got a few devices that always seem to connect to the faraway Router instead of the closest Satellite.
I've got a 2.4 GHz-only Security Camera on the ground floor that always connects to the Router, and the network connection is low. When i do a Live View, the connection keeps buffering and dropping.
The Router is like 5 rooms away on the 2nd floor. The closest satellite is 1 room away on the ground floor.
But it still connects to the Router. Some other 2.4 GHz devices connect to the Satellite, so the Satellite is definitely working.
I've got another identical Security Camera that connects to that close Satelite and the connection is great.
Is there any way to specify which device should use which Network Point (Router/Satellite)?
(I guess this kind of defeats the purpose of using a Mesh Router).
But in the case of a device that doesn't move, it would be good to have this.

Hello dchow78,
As you mentioned, the Nighthawk Mesh system does not support this feature. However, if you recently purchased the device you may try contacting our support team. Ultimately the client will decide which access point to connect to. You may try moving the satellite closer for the ground camera.
