I clicked support under the app

Thank you for posting this, I was starting to think I was crazy. Last night the same thing happened to me. I clicked support under the app and it showed a support number of 844-429-1763 so I called it. They told me my problems is that my system no longer has securities on it because mine expired. They tried to sell me a 1 year, 5 year or lifetime securities . Not being to tech savvy, I questioned it and they said NONE of them carry securities anymore and they  need to be purchased as an add on. I told her that I would call my brother who works at a computer store and she hung up on me. When I went back to look at the information I got the number from, it came up as a totally different company called wifisetuppros! So, they are definitely inserting themselves as netgear somehow!

  • Obviously you called a spam number. What app are you using? The number looks like a spam from this fake website
