MK83 Factory reset

I have tried performing a factory reset directly from the router and through the admin settings from a connected pc. Once it reboots, the router settings and name remains. Any suggestions? Anyone else having similar issue?

Have you tried the old 30-30-30 reset?

push and hold reset for 30 seconds while powered on, keep holding reset and power it off for 30 seconds, power it back on while still holding reset fo 30 seconds

Using the erase button on the MRs web page will reset the system back to defaults.

Be sure you clear out all browser caches.

    Try a different browser.

I’ve tried different browsers as well. Would this reset the network name as well? I guess that is the reason I am thinking it’s not completed because the network name and password are still intact.

Steps I am taking when hardwired directly to the router:

      1. Connect to the router network.
      2. Go to http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1 in your browser.
      3. Log in with your admin credentials.
      4. Navigate to:
Advanced > Administration > Backup Settings
      5. Scroll to the “Factory Default” section.
      6. Click Erase, then confirm when prompted.

I have also tried the factory reset manually on the device.

You could always hardware reset by pushing and holding reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on
