MR60 / MS60 - SSID to VLAN trunking

Question

Please Please Please, add a feature to enable tying SSID's to VLAN tags.

I don't need any of the router/security features. In fact, I turn all of that off because I am using these strictly for layer 2 connectivity in my LAN at home, and using a more advanced security gateway and other systems for all the services that I need.

I would really like to have a guest SSID / vlan though that I can share with visitors that places their devices into a different vlan and outside of my internal network. I don't want to use the MR60 as an internal router because I have devices on the LAN that only work with layer 2 broadcasts and I want my wireless devices to work seamlessly with them.

I did a search and didn't see any posts coming up, but I guess it wasn't searching all the correct forums.

I see quite a few requests for this type of feature here:

I will try to kill this post / thread. It appears that Netgear doesn't really listen to their user base much from what I am seeing here, and I don't need simple configuration help.

Unfortunately, I guess it is to be expected. They are in this consumer model where they don't make money to release firmware upgrades with new features. They want you to buy a new box. Maybe some of these features will arrive in new products

Actually you might check out Orbi Pro versions of NG MESH. Most low end or home class systems like Orbi (non Pro) and MK systems do not support any VLAN Tagging on SSIDs. It's recommended that users first research and do there due diligence&nbsp; in to a prospective wifi system before buying something.&nbsp;

Orbi pro is far too expensive.&nbsp;For that kind of money, I will just get an enterprise class Cisco WLC / Aironet, Aruba, or Ruckess Wireless system off eBay that some company turned in off lease.Looking for a WiFi6/AX system that won't break the bank, isn't too complex (don't need all the other features), but also supports SSID to VLAN tagging.&nbsp;So far, I haven't found one...
