(MR60) Port not opening/Can't port forward on MR60

I have always been brushing this problem aside for the past 3 years now, but I'm now finally at that point where I'm wanting to fix this problem. I've been at this for several days frustratingly trying to fix/figure this out myself with no luck.

Firmware Version is "V1.1.7.134_2.0.65"

GUI Language Version is "V1.1.7.134_2.1.46.1"

UPnP is enabled

Current ISP is Metronet

I've been wanting to open up a few ports for a few games that I would like to play with a few friends of mine. But no matter what I do I can't seem to get the ports opened up correctly for said games using the online router settings. There is an option for port forwarding on the router settings.

When I first had this problem we were under a different ISP (Optimum), although the problem still existed back then. We switched to Metronet only a year and a half ago. Problem still remained. Prior to 3 years ago before all of this my family had a non-mesh Linksys router system. I can't remember the exact set-up settings we had back then, but I do remember that port forwarding wasn't an issue.

Any questions or advice will be appreciated.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Most games don't need any port forwarding configurations if you have uPnP enabled on the MR.

If you set any PF configurations, then be sure to disable uPnP on the MR.

I do not know what the MFR is, but the model number on the modem is "XS-010X-Q" and the ONT is "3FE49331AAAB". It's a NOKIA brand.

I'm aware that most games don't require port forwarding nowadays, but there are some exceptions to some games- let's say for example Minecraft (If you're hosting a server through your own network. I'm aware there's other methods to host a server through Minecraft).

So no router built in to the ONT so your good there.
