MR60
I'm looking at buying the MK83 mesh wifi for my home, I currently have the MR60. I was wondering if I keep just the satellite from the MR60 will it work with the MK83? If it will work, does it automatically sync or do I have to manually add it and what does that include? Yes I have a need for 3 satellites and 1 base. I'm trying to get signal to parts of my house that are faraday caged so to speak and moving the metal isn't an option.

It won't sync. Each series is only compatible with each other. (sadly)
And the hard part you'll run into is the MR83 has the wireless backhaul dedicated. But if your rooms have poor wifi, so will that backhaul. The MK60 series is just as capable as the 80 series if you have a wired backhaul. Maybe invest in options to wire in a satellite or 2.
