MR80 Mesh Router on same IP Subnet
I've set my AT&T Fiber internet router in IP Passthrough and my MR80 router is getting the pubilc IP address from my ISP on the WAN side. However, I cannot set the LAN IP address of the MR80 in the same subnet of my AT&T router in the 192.168.1.0/ 24 address space. My AT&T router is 192.168.1.1 and I want the MR80 to be 192.168.1.2. When I change the LAN IP on the Netgear I get "To avoid a conflict with your Internet Service Provider, your router's IP address has been updated to 10.0.0.1." I wouldn't mind it so much but my 192.168.1.0 devices will not be able to communicate with the 10.0.0.0 devices. My ultimate goal is to extend my network into parts of the house that do not have a physical connection or have dead spots. I tried to put my MR80 into A/P mode but that caused all kind of issues (see post MR80 Router constantly reboots - NETGEAR Communities for more details on that). Is it possible to have both modems share the same IP space. I don't want to change the AT&T router because I already have so many devices that use are already bound to it.

2. IP passthrough is supposed to basically turn your gateway into a modem only device. Sadly, most isp's suck and buy the cheapest product they can get because they have to purchase a ton of them. so they aren't always coded properly or even half decently. Its why so many people buy 3rd party routers. And those specific BGW router seem to always have issues with passthrough mode. Most people use the dmz option or the access point option.
3. You still haven't said what firmware version is on your MK system. tough to know why its rebooting or even if its an issue when you don't say what firmware version you're on. Its had quite a few updates to it since release. Maybe compare the version you're on to the one currently supported.

I mentioned in another post that I was running the latest version but you gave me a good idea. I downloaded an older version of the firmware and applied it. I put the MR80 in AP mode and it appears to be stable. I'm going to let this sit for a few days and see how it acts. Consider this issue closed.

If you have the att device with other devices connecting to it, its not in a true passthrough/modem only mode.
To have them on the same subnet, you'd need to put the netgear in access point mode. Otherwise there is a conflict as 2 devices on the same subnet are handling dhcp/nat.
And I would love to put the MR80 router in A/P mode but once I do, the router goes into a constant cycle of rebooting. There's some sort of compatibiltity issue between the MR80 and the AT&T HUMAX, model BGW320-500.

What FW version is loaded on the MK system?
How are you configuring the MR for AP mode? Dynamic or Static IP addressing for AP mode?
What is the default IP address pool range on the ATT router?
