MS60 and MR60 on GS308 switch for backhaul - MS60 red light issue
want to put all my MS60's onto ethernet backhaul, cables are cat5E (tested), router/satellites on firmware=v1.1.7.134_2.0.65.
connected the first satellite to ethernet like this and rebooted it:
MR60 ethernet -> GS308v3 switch <- MS60 (20ft cable run)
Result:
- light on MS60 is red
- http connect to MS60, attached devices shows only wired devices
- http connect to MR60, shows MS60 with good backhaul and wired
- phone app v2.3
- shows MS60 offline
- occasionally see a wireless devices connect to it
so it looks like MS60 cant use its ethernet port to backhaul to MR60 while using its wireless to fronthaul , guide says:
• Ethernet backhaul — For pre-wired homes, configure your network to use the ethernet for your backhaul and WiFi
for your fronthaul
I tried other MS60 same issue, read all the prev posts on here dealing with MR60/MS60 and backhaul / fronthaul issue not seeing any direct resolution for what I have described.
is there some other configuration I need to do other than putting them both on same switch ?
thanks in advance.
replaced all cables and switch and now its working as expected.

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
