Nighthawk mr60 port forwarding problem

I’m trying to set up wireguard with two slate AX routers and I’m having trouble setting up port forwarding on my nighthawk mesh router to set up the server. The instructions I found say to set up the port forwarding using the local ip address of the slate AX server but when I bring up devices in the nighthawk app the slate router isn’t listed.

I’m pretty new to this so I’m not sure how to find the correct ip address without seeing the device listed. I tried running Ethernet from my pc to the slate router and using ipconfig to list the default ip but that did not work. Anyone able to help me walk through this process please?

For reference I have an Xfinity gateway set to pass through with nighthawk mr60 for my home internet. I’m using two slate AX devices for server and client for my wire guard set up.

It might help if you told people what those "AX routers" are and how they are configured.  (AX is just a wifi speed label.) You will have problems if you have more than one router on your network, unless these extras are in access point mode.

As to the MR60 router, while many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Nighthawk Mesh System - NETGEAR Communities

You might like to search there for messages related to your issue.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
