To be sure, just connect a ethernet cable to the back of the MS unit and the other end of the cable connected to the Mac ethernet port. Turn OFF the wifi radio on the Mac. Press the reset button in back of the MS for 10 seconds then release. Give about 5 minutes and check the Mac Networking configuration to see if a IP address appears on the Mac.
