Nighthawk MS60 in a loop?
Hi,
i have installed the MK63 Nighthawk system. The router and 2 satellites are working fine.
Due to the structure of our house i recently bought a second hand MS60 satellite for extra coverage.
I tried to add the extra satellite to the network but that was not succesfull. After searching the community i found out that the firmware version in the extra satellite must be the same as the other ones. V1.0.6.116
I tried to upload the firmware through TFTP, following the instructions. That didn't work. A couple of times i saw that packages were transferred to the MS60. But what happens with the MS60 is that after a powerreboot the light is flashing white and after 30 seconds it turns solid amber. When that happens TFTP also gives the message that there is a timeout during transfer. I tried it more then 10 times but it looks like the MS60 is in some kind of loop. So, not succesfull.
Strange thing after trying is that i see a new WiFi network named "NETGEAR_SETUP" but i can't connect with it.
Does anybody have any idea what to try next?

try hardwiring the satellite into the router. That should allow it to connect.
Then the router should assign it an ip address. use the ip address to connect to it and log into it.
From there you should be able to manually update it.
Or you can try factory resetting it and try connecting directly to it.
Hardwire a pc/laptop into it (disable the laptop/pc's wireless).
Its default IP address should be 192.168.1.250 if it hasn't been setup.
Connect to it at that and try to login and update it.

HI, i tried that also but the MS60 was not visible in the connection list. But thanks to your reply i wired it to another satellite en there was the ip. Funny thing was that i had to downgrade the firmware to get it working. But now full speed in every corner. Thanks!
