Nighthawk Wifi 6 System 2 routers

I have a Nighthawk Mesh Wifi 6 Mesh system with one router and 2 satellites. I wanted to extend the system and the shop sold me another Nighthawk Mesh 6 System (AX1800 MK2) system that included another router and one satellite.

I can connect the satellite but I’m trying to get the 2nd router to connect just as a satellite not act as a router.

Is this possible or have I purchased the wrong system for increasing my network by 2 satellites?

  • no it won't act as a satellite. It'll be a separate network.

The guy should have simply sold you more satellites.

The manual goes over how to set it up in access point mode.

You didn't need the 2nd router as they can't act as satellites.

You can use them in access point mode but they need to be hardwired in and act as a separate network.

      Thanks Plemans

How do I set it up as an access point?

I can connect it to the network via and ethernet cable, once thats done will it perform the same way as a satelite (but wired not wireless)?
