10g port quistion
Hi netgear community,
I have fiberglass internet and I don't want to use the standard modem from my isp anymore. I would like to buy a 10gb port adapter, so I can plug the fiber cable directly to the xr700. The question is...will that work normally? Will I get internet from the xr700 alone without the ISP modem? The picture of the 10gb adapter in the attachment.

- So you want to use the SFP port correct? Usually you need to have it connected to a modem or router but in theory with the adapter it could work. Give it a try and then let us know what happens.
