How many IP address reservations on XR1000/DumaOS 3.0? Device names randomly changing?
Good day all!
I am attempting to account for all my devices on my network and name them, and also reserve IP addresses for many of them I would like to remain static. I am running into 2 issues.
1. How many Ip addresses can you reserve in the config? I've looked in the manual and in the forums and I do not see any mention of a limit. I am asking because, after adding a 17th address reservation on the "Settings-->Lan Setup" tab, it seems like I randomly loose an old when when I add the 18th.
2. I am trying to name my devices, however it seems the names randomly are "lost" as they revert to whatever default name the device sends out, or just a partial MAC address as a name. I have applied all changes. Am I missing something or possible bug?

- If I remember rightly someone did have this issue before and I manually added static IPs until I couldn't and I think 17/18 was the maximum. Where are you setting the names exactly? We usually suggest doing this in the Device Manager - the Settings part may see the original name.

I think my issue w/ the names was due to the fact that i was naming the devices on the same page as the IP reservations. Technically, this does work, as I saw changes when I looked in the device manager tab afterwards. However, I think when the IP reservation was over-ridden when you added the 18th one, the name of the device that you added in the deleted reservation was also removed from device manager.
Are there any plans to raise the number of reservations are able to create?
- Understood! That would be a decision for Netgear as it's part of their settings so not something we have direct influence over unfortunately.
