I have a X1000 Router, and im having issues!
Hi there,
I purchased this router around three months ago, and it has been a nightmare. When it works its great, but i always have problems with internet connection.
I have three computers connected to the wifi, including three google homes, and two ipads. everyday, one device wont have internet. It may be one of the google homes, one ipad, or two
Or one of the three comuters. The wireless signal is strong, but just no internet.
I tried enableing the guest wifi network, just so i have a backup, but that never even has internet access.
Can someone help me and tell me what im doing wrong. The only thing that seems to fix it is to reboot the modem, and when you have to do this twice a day, it gets very frustrating.
Just to confirm, not all the devices attached to the internet dont have internet, just intermittently one or two of them, even when i am connected to the wifi on my laptop, and i try using my desktop computer on the same table, my desktop will connect, but it says there is no internet.
Again, i can power cycle, and then they both have it, but the next day it will do the same thing.
Thanks!
John

Your subject says:
"I have a X1000 Router"
I can't find that in the Netgear system. Do you mean XR1000?
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Nighthawk Pro Gaming Routers - NETGEAR Communities
Gaming routers have their own DumaOS operating system that is nothing like the one on Netgear's standard routers.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads. Thanks, I will post it there.
