Netgear XR500 Pro Gaming Router loses wifi randomly for a few seconds then turns back on

I'm sure you all are tired of hearing problems with routers but heres to hoping you'll help me out with my own dilemma. I purchased the XR500 a couple of months ago as an upgrade to my R7000 in hopes of getting greater speeds for gaming (DumaOS and whatnot, that's another topic for another day), and it's worked fairly alright. Lag spikes here and there and some basic internet troubles, but that's to be expected seeing how my setup is located two floors away from me in my basement. Recently, my XR500 likes to drop internet completey for about 15-30 seconds, give or take a few for seemingly no reason.  Everything connected gets dropped, and my computer is giving the "No internet, secured" treatment. Incredibly frustrating because there's nothing more annoying to someone who plays a ton of video games to just get kicked out randomly mid match. I assumed it was my fault because I tinkered around extensively in the DumaOS to get the "best" gaming experience possible, so in response to that theory, I factory reset my router completely, but to my dismay, it still would cut out at least once per day.  Currently on firmware version V2.3.2.1.0.8. I can provide more information if need be, but currently the router is sitting on it's default settings. Thanks in advance.
