NetGear XR700 Plex Media Server status “No USB Device Connected”

I am attempting to set up Plex Media Server on new XR700 router, but it does not recognize my external hard drive when it is plugged in.

I am using a 2TB Seagate HDD formatted at NTFS with 6 GB free (recommended for 5 GB free)

My laptop recognizes the drive.

The Router itself lights up when the drive is connected, but when going through DumaOS to the Plex settings, no device found.
  • Does the router identify the HD in ReadyShare at all? If it doesn't then it may not be compatible, if it does then this may be a plex issue. What firmware version are you on?

My firmware version of the router is V1.0.1.20

And i am using a Seagate 2 TB Backup Plus Slim

I believe this is a supported device.

ReadyShare was not recognizing it either. I tried a Sandisk USB and that was recognized.

Then I tried my 8TB Seagate BackUp Plus Hub and that was recognized as well.

That was the issue, somehow the typical Seagate 2TB is not supported?

I guess I will use my 8TB for the Plex Server.

        Thanks for the help!
