Re: DumaOS not loaded yet! XR700 (no 2.4 or 5ghz wifi either)

The same thing happened to me and I have found a solution that has worked for me so I am sharing this with the community.

I upgraded to the duma os 3.0 firmware for xr700 but it seemed buggy and I ended up with the dreaded '' Duma OS is loading wait 4 minutes.....''

I waited days to no avail.

I then managed to gain access via 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm

I then downloaded a previous firmware XR700-V1.0.1.50.img

and uploaded this via the update section.

It fixed my issue and was able to log in properly.

The firmware which is the latest for my router was XR700-V1.0.1.50-0626.img

and was the culprit I believe causing these problems.

I have set up now on the older firmware (XR700-V1.0.1.50.img) which seems more stable and will wait for a patch to come out for it in the future before I decide to update it again.

I'm relieved because I actually thought my xr700 was bricked and after paying so much money for it.

Good luck folks and hope this helps you all. Any questions get in touch.

What seemed buggy? Would need more details

Did you install NetDuma's beta FW for the XR700?

    https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Pro-Gaming-Routers/NOTICE-NETDUMA-Beta-Firmware-for-the-NETGEAR-XR700-Router/td-p/2325278/jump-to/first-unread-message

I have this loaded on one of my XR700s.

    Also the XR700 is EoL:

    https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Wi-Fi-5-AC-Routers/Top-NETGEAR-FAQs-Support-and-End-of-Service/m-p/2247940/highlight/true#M219659

So probably won't be seeing any FW updates from NG. You might find 3rd party FW support if you want to keep the XR700 going.
